The entire universe is an example of mathematical perfection. You may have heard of the Euclid’s Golden Ratio, (a+b is to a as a is to b) or 1.618. Researchers in South Africa believe that this ratio is a property of space-time & is the governing principal of constancy in the Universe. They don’t know why – it could be a fluke specific to this universe – but it’s what keeps things progressing with general constancy. Now as it is not a circle, but an expanding spiral, this means that over time, things will eventually shift….constantly. When things shift is when we see movement, evolution, adjustment, expansion.
One of the times we feel these equational shifts in our own lives is during eclipse season. The relationship & interaction between the two luminaries causes movement in the earth’s gravitational waves, which, of course, eventually come to hit us. On July 13th we begin the first of 3 eclipses this summer, so it is a moment where we can expect movement, evolution, adjustment, expansion, a shift in the mathematical constancy of the patterns in our lives.
People freak when they hear retrogrades & eclipses – & this summer is packed with both. While we tend to approach impending adjustment with terror, we must think about the mathematical perfection of our universe. In order to expand we cannot remain in a circle, there must be a moment when we shift into our own expansion. Now is that time.
The first of the three eclipses is a Partial Solar Eclipse in Cancer. As the sun is in Cancer, it is currently ruling the North Node in Leo (Leo rules the Sun). So it’s no mathematical error that this new cycle of eclipses rules the outgoing cycle of eclipses. As you wrap up the past year of figuring out what you want to create in the world, the Sun gives you the final clue: you have to feel it.
Cancer is all about cycles, patterns, emotional security, & your deepest feelings. Much of the things that have to do with Cancer we try & squash. Or ignore. Or project. But in the next couple of weeks, the key steps towards your destiny are going to come through your feelings. Funny enough the Sabian for the solar eclipse is “A Prima Donna Singing”…can’t get more Cancerian than that.
You may find yourself at the center of attention with what you have to say. It may be time to let it all out. It may not be over til the fat lady sing. Your time to shine may have finally come. It may be time to hit the high note.
Let’s remember the shadow energy though of the primadonna – where it’s all about me & my feelings. Pay attention to where your emotional tornado is knocking other people’s houses down. We must also remember that Jupiter is going direct in a few days, so all of our feelings are going to be amplified. So our first step this summer is to get secure in our own feelings. We’ll be doing something with them shortly.
What I would suggest as an exercise is that every time you feel a wave of emotions coming on – try & isolate yourself. Find a source of water. Get into the shower, or go to the sea, or turn the faucet on. Start singing to yourself about what your feeling: extreme love, extreme pain, extreme anger, frustration. Sing it out. Not talk. Sing. Why? Because speaking will connect you with your brain. Singing makes your body vibrate. We want to express the trapped vibrational patterns & change our own gravitational waves. So the key to getting through this energy is going to be through expression. Talking about the past. Mending old patterns. Singing new tunes.
