This morning I noticed, in the sky, this odd receding row of thick cloud layer. Milan, where I live, has been basically buried under a solid ceiling layer of grey clouds, for the past 25 days. Apart from the occasional monsoon style thunderstorm, we haven’t seen blue sky since October. This ceiling of cloud, a thick sheet of white, is oppressive, stagnating, suffocating. This is exactly how I’d describe the energy of late.
The break in the clouds that we see here today is the breath of air that we’ve been praying for. We know it’s still winter, but at least there’s a crack of oxygen in whatever was keeping us so blocked.
I feel like we can expect movement in areas that have been stalled or still. There’s been a lot of internal searching & with the parting of the fog, we start to see things much clearer.
Where yesterday we may have felt like we needed to resign ourselves to a hopeless situation, today there is a ray of light.
Now, just because the sun is out doesn’t mean it’s summer (metaphorically speaking of course). There is still work to be done & things will come in the time they are meant to.
That said, I would take a moment today to appreciate all that you learned, discovered, uncovered during this period of stagnancy. I’m sure you’re looking at the things in a new way. Take that knowledge & forge forward.
The clouds are breaking, a new dawn is rising, & there is a time to every purpose. Your steps forward should be clear now, and you may feel a renewed energy to embrace what lies ahead.
